  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to local government; authorizing the city of 
  1.3             Hoyt Lakes to extend its zoning and subdivision 
  1.4             regulations within part of the town of White subject 
  1.5             to the town of White's consent. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [EXTENSION OF CITY OF HOYT LAKES ZONING AND 
  1.8   SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS.] 
  1.9      (a) Notwithstanding the limitations of Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.10  sections 462.357 and 462.358, the city of Hoyt Lakes, with the 
  1.11  consent of the town of White, may extend its zoning and 
  1.12  subdivision regulations to the area legally described as:  East 
  1.13  1/2 of Section 12, Township 58 North, Range 15 West. 
  1.14     (b) Upon consent given by the town of White to the 
  1.15  extension of the city of Hoyt Lakes' zoning and subdivision 
  1.16  regulations over the area legally described in paragraph (a), 
  1.17  the city of Hoyt Lakes' regulations prevail over any other 
  1.18  applicable zoning and subdivision regulations. 
  1.19     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.20     This act is effective under Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.21  645.02, the day after the governing body of the latter of the 
  1.22  town of White and the city of Hoyt Lakes and their respective 
  1.23  chief clerical officers timely complete their compliance with 
  1.24  Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, subdivisions 2 and 3.
