A bill for an act
relating to veterans of World War II; requiring commissioner of veterans affairs
to distribute commemorative medallions recognizing service in the United States
armed forces during World War II; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin WORLD WAR II SERVICE MEDALLIONS; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $....... in fiscal year 2009 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of veterans affairs for the production and distribution of commemorative medallions
recognizing service in the United States armed forces during World War II. The
commissioner must provide the medallion without charge to a resident of this state who
meets the service requirements established by the commissioner and requests a medallion
no later than June 30, 2010. This appropriation is available until June 30, 2010.
