  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to capital improvements; appropriating money 
  1.3             to repair and rehabilitate certain memorials on the 
  1.4             capitol mall; authorizing the sale of state bonds. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [CAPITAL MALL MEMORIALS; REPAIR.] 
  1.7      Subdivision 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] $442,000 is appropriated 
  1.8   from the bond proceeds fund to the capitol area architectural 
  1.9   and planning board to repair and rehabilitate the reflecting 
  1.10  pool and sculpture at the veterans services building, the plaza 
  1.11  and wall of the Floyd B. Olson memorial, and the paving stones 
  1.12  at the Lindbergh memorial. 
  1.13     Subd. 2.  [BOND SALE.] To provide the money appropriated in 
  1.14  this act from the bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of 
  1.15  finance, on request of the governor, shall sell and issue bonds 
  1.16  of the state in an amount up to $445,000 in the manner, upon the 
  1.17  terms, and with the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.18  sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, 
  1.19  article XI, sections 4 to 7. 
  1.20     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.21     This act is effective the day following final enactment.
