A bill for an act
 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for railway and highway safety
improvements for pedestrian and bicycle trails in Dakota County along the Veterans
Memorial Greenway.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin VETERANS MEMORIAL GREENWAY APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $10,700,000 in fiscal year 2023 is appropriated from the general fund to the Metropolitan
Council for a grant to Dakota County for right-of-way acquisition and for design, engineering,
and construction of pedestrian safety-related improvements, including grade-separated
crossings of railroads and multilane highways in Dakota County, for a new trail connection
between Lebanon Hills Regional Park and the Mississippi River.
