  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing private sale of 
  1.3             certain tax-forfeited land that borders public water 
  1.4             in Ramsey county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING 
  1.7   PUBLIC WATER; RAMSEY COUNTY.] 
  1.8      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.9   282.018, subdivision 1, and the public sale provisions of 
  1.10  Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, Ramsey county may sell by 
  1.11  private sale the tax-forfeited land bordering public water that 
  1.12  is described in paragraph (c), under the remaining provisions of 
  1.13  Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282. 
  1.14     (b) The sale must be in a form approved by the attorney 
  1.15  general. 
  1.16     (c) The land to be sold is located in Ramsey county and is 
  1.17  described as:  
  1.18     (1) that part of Government Lot 1 lying within the 
  1.19  Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter and southerly of 
  1.20  North Owasso Boulevard, subject to easements, Section 36, 
  1.21  Township 30, Range 23 (PIN:  36-30-23-23-0015-2); and 
  1.22     (2) the North 41-6/10 feet of part of Government Lot 1 
  1.23  lying within the Southwest Quarter, except that part West of the 
  1.24  extended westerly line of Lot 1, Lake Owasso Heights, subject to 
  1.25  roads and easements, Section 36, Township 30, Range 23 (PIN:  
  2.1   36-30-23-32-0001-5). 
  2.2      (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  2.3   management interests would best be served if the land was sold 
  2.4   to the Ramsey county department of public works to install a 
  2.5   permanent water aeration system for Lake Owasso.
