A bill for an act
relating to elections; clarifying prohibitions on soliciting at or near a polling place;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 211B.11, subdivision 1.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 211B.11, subdivision 1, is amended to read:


Subdivision 1.

Soliciting near polling places.

A person deleted text begin maydeleted text end new text begin mustnew text end not display campaign
material, post signs, ask, solicit, or in any manner try to induce or persuade a voter within
a polling place or within 100 feet of the building in which a polling place is situated, or
anywhere on the public property on which a polling place is situated, on primary or election
day to vote for or refrain from voting for a candidate or ballot question. A person deleted text begin may not
provide political

Nothing in this subdivision prohibits the distribution of "I VOTED" stickers as provided
in section 204B.49.
