  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to the State Building Code; transferring 
  1.3             authority to develop the energy portions of the 
  1.4             building code from the commissioner of public service 
  1.5             to the commissioner of administration; repealing 
  1.6             Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 216C.195, 
  1.7             subdivisions 2 and 3; Minnesota Statutes 1999 
  1.8             Supplement, sections 216C.19, subdivision 8; and 
  1.9             216C.195, subdivision 1. 
  1.10  BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.11     Section 1.  [TRANSFER.] 
  1.12     Development of the energy portion of the State Building 
  1.13  Code is transferred from the commissioner of public service to 
  1.14  the commissioner of administration in accordance with Minnesota 
  1.15  Statutes, section 15.039. 
  1.16     Sec. 2.  [REPEALER.] 
  1.17     Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 216C.195, subdivisions 2 
  1.18  and 3; and Minnesota Statutes 1999 Supplement, sections 216C.19, 
  1.19  subdivision 8; and 216C.195, subdivision 1, are repealed. 
  1.20     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.21     Sections 1 and 2 are effective July 1, 2000.
