A bill for an act
relating to transportation; highways; appropriating money for segments on
marked Trunk Highway 23.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; MARKED TRUNK HIGHWAY 23.

new text begin (a) $3,000,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2015 from the general fund to the
commissioner of transportation for environmental analysis, preliminary design and
engineering, and right-of-way acquisition to establish marked Trunk Highway 23 as a
continuous divided highway having two lanes of travel in each direction. The specified
activities are for the following trunk highway segments: (1) between New London and
Paynesville; and (2) between Paynesville and Richmond.

new text begin (b) This is a onetime appropriation. Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section
16A.28, this appropriation is available for five years after the year of appropriation.
