  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing the private sale 
  1.3             of certain tax-forfeited land bordering public water 
  1.4             in St. Louis county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [ST. LOUIS COUNTY; PRIVATE SALE OF 
  1.7   TAX-FORFEITED LAND.] 
  1.8      (a) Notwithstanding any contrary provisions of Minnesota 
  1.9   Statutes, sections 92.45 and 282.018, subdivision 1, and the 
  1.10  public sale provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, St. 
  1.11  Louis county may sell the land in St. Louis county described in 
  1.12  this section by private sale to Willow Brook Golf, Incorporated 
  1.13  under the remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 
  1.14  282. 
  1.15     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.16  attorney general. 
  1.17     (c) The land that may be sold is described as: 
  1.18     Town of Floodwood:  NE 1/4 of SE 1/4, Section 36, Township 
  1.19  51, Range 20. 
  1.20     (d) The property to be sold is adjacent to 80 acres being 
  1.21  developed as a golf course, and is for future expansion of the 
  1.22  golf course.  The sale is in the public interest and will 
  1.23  provide a great benefit to the community and its businesses.
