  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to liquor; discontinuing the use of the term 
  1.3             "nonintoxicating liquor"; amending Minnesota Statutes 
  1.4             1994, section 340A.411, subdivision 1, and by adding a 
  1.5             subdivision. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 340A.411, 
  1.8   subdivision 1, is amended to read: 
  1.9      Subdivision 1.  [ON-SALE LICENSES.] On-sale nonintoxicating 
  1.10  3.2 percent malt liquor licenses may only be issued to 
  1.11  drugstores, restaurants, hotels, clubs, bowling centers, and 
  1.12  establishments used exclusively for the sale of 3.2 percent malt 
  1.13  liquor with the incidental sale of tobacco and soft drinks. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 340A.411, is 
  1.15  amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.16     Subd. 3.  [TERMINOLOGY.] A political subdivision may not 
  1.17  issue a 3.2 percent malt liquor license that includes the term 
  1.18  "nonintoxicating liquor." 
  1.19     Sec. 3.  [INSTRUCTION TO REVISOR.] 
  1.20     The revisor of statutes shall change the words 
  1.21  "nonintoxicating liquor" wherever they appear in Minnesota 
  1.22  Statutes and Minnesota Rules to "3.2 percent malt liquor."
