A bill for an act
relating to natural resources; requiring county board notification before certain
land acquisitions; amending Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 97A.056, by adding
a subdivision.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1.
Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 97A.056, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

At least 30 days before acquiring land with money
from the outdoor heritage fund, a recipient must notify, in writing, the county board where
the land is located. The notification must include a description of the land to be acquired.
