A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for equipment grants to public
television.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin PUBLIC TELEVISION; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $12,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of administration
to provide equipment grants to public television stations as defined in Minnesota Statutes,
section 129D.12, to purchase, replace, and install equipment necessary to their operation.
The commissioner of administration must consider the recommendations of the Minnesota
Public Television Association when awarding grants under this section.
