relating to organization of the legislature; providing for removal of tax chairs
under certain conditions; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes,
chapter 3.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin If the committee with jurisdiction over taxes in either the senate or the house of
representatives fails to report an omnibus tax bill to the body before April 15 of an
odd-numbered year, the position of chair of the tax committee in that body becomes
vacant and the body must appoint a new tax committee chair in accordance with its rules.
