  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to public safety; appropriating money for 
  1.3             hazardous materials teams. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $....... in fiscal year 2003 is appropriated from the 
  1.7   general fund to the commissioner of public safety for hazardous 
  1.8   materials emergency response/chemical assessment teams.  The 
  1.9   commissioner must restore the operation of the state hazardous 
  1.10  materials emergency response/chemical assessment teams to fiscal 
  1.11  year 2001 levels, specifically reinstating emergency 
  1.12  response/chemical assessment teams in the cities of Duluth, 
  1.13  Moorhead, and Rochester.  The commissioner must adjust the base 
  1.14  appropriation in the next biennial budget to reflect 2001 levels.
