  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; requiring a study of and 
  1.3             long-range plan for surplus buildings at regional 
  1.4             treatment centers. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [SURPLUS BUILDING STUDY AND PLAN.] 
  1.7      The commissioner of human services, in cooperation with the 
  1.8   commissioners of health, economic development, and 
  1.9   administration, shall conduct a study of and develop a 
  1.10  long-range plan for the use of surplus buildings at regional 
  1.11  treatment centers, as defined under Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.12  253B.02.  The commissioners shall present the results of the 
  1.13  study and the long-range plan to the senate health and family 
  1.14  security committee and the house health and human services 
  1.15  committee by January 16, 2001.
