A bill for an act
relating to health insurance; seeking federal approval to extend the Minnesota
health plan market (MNsure) to SEGIP.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin MNSURE OPTION FOR STATE EMPLOYEES GROUP INSURANCE
PLAN (SEGIP).

new text begin The commissioners of management and budget and commerce shall seek all
federal approvals and waivers necessary to allow persons eligible for SEGIP the option
of obtaining qualified health plan coverage through MNsure and receive any applicable
advanced premium tax credits and cost-sharing reductions. The commissioner shall notify
the MNsure Legislative Oversight Committee of any federal action related to this request.
