relating to elections; modifying a criminal penalty for deceiving another person
with the intent to prevent the person from voting in an election; amending
Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 204C.035, subdivision 1.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 204C.035, subdivision 1, is amended to
read:


Subdivision 1.

Criminal penalty.

No person shall knowingly deceive another person
regarding the time, place, or manner of conducting an election or the qualifications for or
restrictions on voter eligibility for an election, with the intent to prevent the individual
