A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for improvements to Bronco
Ice Arena in International Falls; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $200,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund
to the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission for a grant under Minnesota Statutes, section
240A.09, paragraph (l), to Independent School District No. 361, International Falls, for
purchase and installation of dasher boards at the Bronco Ice Arena in International Falls.
A local commitment of $1,750,000 for removal and replacement of the slab, piping, and air
exchange, and other amounts spent by the local community for renovation of the arena as
of the effective date of this section, count as the local match and no other match is required.

new text begin To provide the money appropriated in this section from the bond
proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds of
the state in an amount up to $200,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect
prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota
Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
