A bill for an act
 relating to human services; requiring the Brainerd Regional Treatment Center
laundry services to be maintained or expanded; allowing Brainerd Regional
Treatment Center employees and service units to bid on certain service contracts.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin LAUNDRY SERVICES AT BRAINERD REGIONAL TREATMENT
CENTER.

new text begin The commissioner of human services shall maintain or expand laundry services
that are provided by the laundry unit at the Brainerd Regional Treatment Center until
January 2010.

Sec. 2. new text begin BRAINERD REGIONAL TREATMENT CENTER SERVICES.

new text begin The commissioner of human services shall allow the Brainerd Regional Treatment
Center employees and service units to bid on state contracting opportunities, specifically
the contracts to provide services for the new community-based inpatient psychiatric
hospitals.
