relating to health insurance; seeking federal approval to reduce Minnesota's
geographic rating areas to eight.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

The commissioner of commerce shall seek any necessary federal approvals to modify
the boundaries of and reduce the number of the state's designated geographic rating areas
for purposes of setting health plan premiums in the individual health insurance market.
