  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to appropriations; appropriating money for 
  1.3             the Sauk River Dam. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [SAUK RIVER DAM.] 
  1.6      $300,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 1998 from the 
  1.7   general fund to the commissioner of natural resources for a 
  1.8   grant to the Sauk River Watershed District for renovation of the 
  1.9   Sauk River Dam.  The grant must not exceed 50 percent of the 
  1.10  cost of the project. 
  1.11     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.12     Section 1 is effective the day after its final enactment.
