A bill for an act
 relating to human services; appropriating money for outreach, education, training,
and distribution of naloxone kits.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; OVERDOSE PREVENTION.

new text begin $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2024 and $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2025 are appropriated from
the general fund to the commissioner of human services for a grant to the Steve Rummler
Hope Network, St. Paul, MN to be used for statewide outreach, education, training, and
distribution of naloxone kits. Of this amount in fiscal year 2024 and fiscal year 2025, 50
percent of the money appropriated must be provided to the Ka Joog Non Profit Organization,
Minneapolis, MN to be used for collaborative outreach in East African and Somali
communities in Minnesota.
