  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to economic security; appropriating money for 
  1.3             the Youthbuild program. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; YOUTHBUILD.] 
  1.6      $500,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.7   commissioner of economic security for the Youthbuild program 
  1.8   under Minnesota Statutes, sections 268.361 to 268.366.  A 
  1.9   Minnesota Youthbuild program funded under this section as 
  1.10  authorized in Minnesota Statutes, sections 268.361 to 268.367, 
  1.11  qualifies as an approved training program under Minnesota Rules, 
  1.12  part 5200.0930, subpart 1.  The appropriation is in addition to 
  1.13  the appropriation made by Laws 1997, chapter 200, article 1, 
  1.14  section 5, subdivision 4.  The appropriation is available 
  1.15  immediately and is available until June 30, 1999. 
  1.16     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.17     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
