  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to parenting time centers; providing a 
  1.3             divorce filing fee surcharge to fund parenting time 
  1.4             centers; appropriating money; amending Minnesota 
  1.5             Statutes 2002, section 357.021, by adding a 
  1.6             subdivision.  
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 357.021, is 
  1.9   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.10     Subd. 2b.  [PARENTING TIME CENTER FEE.] In addition to the 
  1.11  filing fee in subdivision 1, the petitioner and respondent in a 
  1.12  marriage dissolution, when each of them files that party's first 
  1.13  paper in the proceeding, must be assessed a surcharge in the 
  1.14  amount of $25, which is appropriated to the commissioner of 
  1.15  children, families, and learning for parenting time centers 
  1.16  under section 119A.37.
