relating to economic development; appropriating money for a grant to an
economically depressed city.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2020 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to a city of the second class that is
designated as an economically depressed area by the United States Department of Commerce.
The appropriation is for economic development, redevelopment, and job creation programs
and projects. This is a onetime appropriation and is available until June 30, 2023.
