BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin The American Legion was chartered by Congress on
September 16, 1919. This section is enacted to recognize the millions of American
Legion veterans who have dedicated and continue to dedicate themselves to service of
community, state, and nation. This section expresses the appreciation of Minnesotans
for that service, on the occasion of the Legion's 90th year of existence and each year
thereafter on the anniversary of its charter date.
