  1.1                         A senate resolution 
  1.2             congratulating Monticello Boy Scout Troop 270 on 
  1.3             celebrating its 45th anniversary. 
  1.4      
  1.5      WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts of America, incorporated on 
  1.6   February 8, 1910, and chartered by Congress in 1916, is an 
  1.7   organization that provides an educational program for boys and 
  1.8   young adults to build character, provide training in the 
  1.9   responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develop 
  1.10  personal fitness; and 
  1.11     WHEREAS, involvement in the Boy Scouts begins with Tiger 
  1.12  Cubs, and the boys move to Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, and 
  1.13  Venturing with a goal to achieve the highest honor of all, the 
  1.14  Eagle Scout award; and 
  1.15     WHEREAS, on Sunday, May 23, 1999, Monticello Boy Scout 
  1.16  Troop 270 will celebrate its 45th anniversary at Ellison Park in 
  1.17  Monticello, Minnesota; and 
  1.18     WHEREAS, all past Eagle Scouts, former troop leaders, and 
  1.19  current scouts have been invited to share in this celebration; 
  1.20  NOW, THEREFORE, 
  1.21     BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that 
  1.22  it congratulates Monticello Boy Scout Troop 270 on celebrating 
  1.23  its 45th anniversary and wishes them continued success. 
  1.24     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is 
  2.1   directed to prepare an enrolled copy of this resolution, to be 
  2.2   authenticated by his signature and that of the Chair of the 
  2.3   Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to 
  2.4   Monticello Boy Scout Troop 270.
