  1.4             coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 465. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [465.794] [CONTRACTING FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT 
  1.7   LOBBYISTS PROHIBITED.] 
  1.8      After December 31, 1998, no entity defined in section 
  1.9   465.795, subdivisions 3, 4, and 5, may employ or contract for a 
  1.10  lobbyist as that term is defined in section 10A.01, subdivision 
  1.11  11, or with any contractor for lobbyist purposes.
