  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to Scott county; authorizing state bonds; 
  1.3             appropriating money for the Scott county workforce 
  1.4             center. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [SCOTT COUNTY WORKFORCE CENTER.] 
  1.7      Subdivision 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] $5,000,000 is appropriated 
  1.8   from the bond proceeds fund to Scott county to construct a 
  1.9   county workforce center in Valley Green industrial park.  
  1.10     Subd. 2.  [BOND SALE.] To provide the money appropriated by 
  1.11  this section from the bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of 
  1.12  finance, on request of the governor, shall sell and issue bonds 
  1.13  of the state in an amount up to $5,000,000 in the manner, on the 
  1.14  terms, and with the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.15  sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, 
  1.16  article XI, sections 4 to 7. 
  1.17     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.18     Section 1 is effective the day after its final enactment.
