A bill for an act
 relating to insurance; providing an exemption for health care sharing ministries;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2014, sections 60A.02, by adding a subdivision;
60A.24.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2014, section 60A.02, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin Health care sharing ministry. new text end

new text begin "Health care sharing ministry" means
an organization that meets the requirements of section 5000A(d)(2)(B) of the Internal
Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.

Sec. 2.

Minnesota Statutes 2014, section 60A.24, is amended to read:


60A.24 EXEMPTIONS FROM INSURANCE LAWS OF THIS STATE.

The following are exempt from all insurance laws of the state:
