A bill for an act
 relating to game and fish; modifying firearm seizure penalty for baiting deer;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 97B.328, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 97B.328, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin Section 97A.221 applies to a violation of this section
only if:

new text begin (1) a person kills a deer with the aid or use of bait; or
 new text end

new text begin (2) a person violating this section has one or more previous violations under this
section during the previous three years.
