A bill for an act
relating to public health; exempting certain hot tubs from public pool regulations;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 144.1222, subdivision 2d.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 144.1222, subdivision 2d, is amended to read:
(a) A deleted text beginhot waterdeleted text endnew text beginnew text end pool intended
for seated recreational use, including a hot tub or whirlpool, that is located on a houseboat
that is rented to the public is not a public pool and is exempt from the requirements for
public pools undernew text beginnew text end Minnesota Rules, chapter 4717.
