A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a grant to Care and Share
of Crookston.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; CARE AND SHARE OF CROOKSTON.

new text begin $944,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to Care and Share of Crookston, a
501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to make necessary improvements at the Care and Share
homeless shelter in the city of Crookston. Improvements include replacing and repairing
roofs and windows and installing an elevator at the shelter. This appropriation is available
until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
This is a onetime appropriation.
