  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing private sale of 
  1.3             certain surplus state land bordering public water. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [PRIVATE SALE OF SURPLUS STATE LAND BORDERING 
  1.6   PUBLIC WATER; ST. LOUIS COUNTY.] 
  1.7      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45, 
  1.8   94.09, and 94.10, the commissioner of Iron Range resources and 
  1.9   rehabilitation may sell by private sale for economic development 
  1.10  purposes the surplus land bordering public water that is 
  1.11  described in paragraph (c). 
  1.12     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.13  attorney general for consideration no less than the appraised 
  1.14  value of the land. 
  1.15     (c) The land to be sold is located in St. Louis County and 
  1.16  is described as: 
  1.17     (1) the Southwest Quarter, Section 7, Township 59 North, 
  1.18  Range 15 West; 
  1.19     (2) the West Half of the Southeast Quarter, Section 7, 
  1.20  Township 59 North, Range 15 West; 
  1.21     (3) Government Lot 2, Section 18, Township 59 North, Range 
  1.22  15 West; 
  1.23     (4) Government Lots 2 and 3, Section 19, Township 59 North, 
  1.24  Range 15 West; 
  2.1      (5) Government Lot 1, Section 30, Township 59 North, Range 
  2.2   15 West; and 
  2.3      (6) Government Lot 4, Section 30, Township 59 North, Range 
  2.4   15 West.
