relating to legislative salaries; creating a standing appropriation; proposing coding
for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 15A.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin [15A.0826] LEGISLATIVE SALARY COUNCIL; IMPLEMENTATION.

new text begin The amount necessary to fund salaries, including any taxes and contributions on the
salaries required by law to be paid by the employer, as prescribed by the Legislative Salary
Council under section 15A.0825, pursuant to the Minnesota Constitution, article IV, section
9, is appropriated in each year from the general fund to the house of representatives and
senate.
