A bill for an act
relating to education finance; authorizing a fund transfer for Independent School
District No. 463, Eden Valley-Watkins, to recover the cost of remediating an
environmental hazard.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 123B.79, 123B.80, and 475.61,
subdivision 4, Independent School District No. 463, Eden Valley-Watkins, as of June
30, 2007, may permanently transfer up to $50,000 from its debt redemption fund to the
capital account in its general fund without making a levy reduction for recovering the
amount actually spent on environmental remediation efforts related to the cleanup of a
mercury spill.
