A bill for an act
relating to human rights; protecting wage disclosure; prohibiting retaliation;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 363A.08, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 363A.08, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:


Subd. 8.

Wage disclosure protection.

An employer shall not discharge or in any
other manner discriminate or retaliate against, coerce, intimidate, threaten, or interfere
with any employee because the employee inquired about, disclosed, compared, or
discussed the employee's wages or the wages of any other employee.

EFFECTIVE DATE.

This section is effective the day following final enactment.
