  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to highways; limiting costs incurred by road 
  1.3             authorities for reimbursements to public utilities for 
  1.4             infrastructure displaced by highway construction; 
  1.5             proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.6             chapter 160. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [160.032] [LIMIT ON REIMBURSEMENT.] 
  1.9      When a road authority other than the commissioner 
  1.10  determines that the relocation of any facility of a utility as 
  1.11  defined in section 161.46, subdivision 1, clause (1), is 
  1.12  necessitated by the construction, reconstruction, or repair of a 
  1.13  highway, the road authority's responsibility for reimbursement 
  1.14  to the utility is limited to the depreciated cost of the 
  1.15  facility being relocated.
