A bill for an act
 relating to education finance; appropriating money for the Minnesota Center for
the Book programming.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS; MINNESOTA CENTER FOR THE BOOK.

Subdivision 1.

Department of Education.

The sums indicated in this section are
appropriated from the general fund to the Department of Education for the fiscal years
designated.

Subd. 2.

Minnesota Center for the Book programming.

For grants to the entity
designated by the Library of Congress as the Minnesota Center for the Book to provide
statewide programming related to the Minnesota Book Awards and for additional
programming throughout the state related to the Center for the Book designation:
