  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; allowing high schools to 
  1.3             provide driver education classroom instruction on 
  1.4             interactive television; providing for rulemaking. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [HIGH SCHOOL DRIVER EDUCATION; RULES.] 
  1.7      The commissioner of public safety must amend Minnesota 
  1.8   Rules, part 7411.0510, subpart 3, to allow high schools to 
  1.9   provide driver education program classroom instruction on 
  1.10  interactive television.  The commissioner must use the expedited 
  1.11  rulemaking process under Minnesota Statutes, section 14.389. 
  1.12     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective the day 
  1.13  following final enactment.
