A bill for an act
relating to human services; appropriating money to the International Adoption
Project.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION PROJECT.

new text begin $....... per year is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of human
services for the biennium starting July 1, 2007, to be transferred to the University of
Minnesota for the International Adoption Project. The International Adoption Project
studies the physical and mental health of children and families of international adoption,
as well as serving as a resource for adoptive parents, agencies, and professionals who
work with adopted children and families. This appropriation shall become part of the
base appropriation.
