  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to agriculture; regulating pesticide 
  1.3             application on golf courses; proposing coding for new 
  1.4             law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 18B. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [18B.345] [PESTICIDE APPLICATION ON GOLF 
  1.7   COURSES.] 
  1.8      (a) Application of a pesticide to the property of a golf 
  1.9   course must be performed by: 
  1.10     (1) a structural pest control applicator; 
  1.11     (2) a commercial or noncommercial pesticide applicator with 
  1.12  appropriate use certification; or 
  1.13     (3) an aquatic pest control applicator. 
  1.14     (b) Pesticides determined by the commissioner to be 
  1.15  sanitizers and disinfectants are exempt from the requirements in 
  1.16  paragraph (a). 
  1.17     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.18     Section 1 is effective January 1, 2002.
