  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; providing for a fund transfer 
  1.3             for independent school district No. 593, Crookston. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [CROOKSTON; FUND TRANSFER.] 
  1.6      Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 123B.79; 
  1.7   123B.80; and 475.61, subdivision 4, independent school district 
  1.8   No. 593, Crookston, during fiscal year 2001 and fiscal year 
  1.9   2002, may permanently transfer up to $450,000 from its debt 
  1.10  service fund to its general fund without making a levy 
  1.11  reduction.  The district may make more than one transfer 
  1.12  provided that the total amount transferred over the two fiscal 
  1.13  years does not exceed $450,000.
