relating to education; appropriating money for grants to support student transitions
between middle school and high school.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

appropriated from the general fund to the Department of Education for the fiscal year
designated.

new text begin For grants to support the planning
and implementation of high school transition teams of teachers, guidance counselors, and
high school students who assist students in grades 8 and 9 and their families to successfully
navigate the transition to high school:

new text begin This is a onetime appropriation and is available until June 30, 2020. Of the amounts
appropriated, $335,000 is for a grant to Independent School District No. 622, North St.
Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale, and $165,000 is for a grant to Independent School District No.
832, Mahtomedi.
