A bill for an act
 relating to public safety; appropriating money for Grand Portage Band of Lake
Superior Chippewa Tribal coast guard services.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; GRAND PORTAGE BAND OF LAKE SUPERIOR
CHIPPEWA TRIBE; COAST GUARD SERVICES.

new text begin $3,000,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of public safety for a grant to the Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa to purchase
equipment and fund a position for coast guard services off the north shore of Lake Superior.
