  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to Stevens county; extending the duration of 
  1.3             a tax increment financing district. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [STEVENS COUNTY; TAX INCREMENT FINANCING 
  1.6   DISTRICT EXTENSION.] 
  1.7      The Stevens county housing and redevelopment authority may 
  1.8   amend the tax increment financing plan for economic development 
  1.9   financing district number 1-1 to extend the duration of the 
  1.10  district.  The duration of the district may be extended until 
  1.11  December 31, 2008. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.13     The act is effective upon compliance by the governing body 
  1.14  of Stevens county with Minnesota Statutes, sections 645.021, 
  1.15  subdivision 2, and 469.1782, subdivision 2.
