A bill for an act
relating to education; providing for a charter school enrollment preference.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin CHARTER SCHOOL ENROLLMENT PREFERENCE.

new text begin Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 124E.11, or any other law to the contrary,
a charter school must give enrollment preference to a previously enrolled pupil that formally
withdrew their enrollment due to a change in learning model while Executive Order 20-82
is in effect before accepting other pupils by lot.
