A bill for an act
 relating to parks and trails; appropriating money for regional parks and trails.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATIONS; METROPOLITAN COUNCIL.

new text begin (a) $38,000,000 in fiscal year 2022 and $38,000,000 in fiscal year 2023 are appropriated
from the general fund to the Metropolitan Council for grants to operate and maintain
metropolitan area regional parks according to Minnesota Statutes, section 473.351.

new text begin (b) $6,600,000 in fiscal year 2022 and $6,600,000 in fiscal year 2023 are appropriated
from the natural resources fund to the Metropolitan Council for grants to operate and maintain
metropolitan area regional parks and trails. This appropriation is from the revenue deposited
in the natural resources fund under Minnesota Statutes, section 297A.94, paragraph (h),
clause (3).
