  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to higher education; providing funding for 
  1.3             farm and small business management programs and 
  1.4             tuition assistance; appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATIONS; BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE 
  1.7   MINNESOTA STATE COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES.] 
  1.8      (a) $609,000 in fiscal year 2000 and $673,000 in fiscal 
  1.9   year 2001 is appropriated from the general fund to the board of 
  1.10  trustees of the Minnesota state colleges and universities for 
  1.11  increased tuition assistance to reflect increases in tuition and 
  1.12  fees. 
  1.13     (b) $360,000 in fiscal year 2000 and $660,000 in fiscal 
  1.14  year 2001 is appropriated from the general fund to the board of 
  1.15  trustees of the Minnesota state colleges and universities for 
  1.16  increased student access to farm business management and small 
  1.17  business management programs. 
  1.18     (c) The appropriations in this section are available until 
  1.19  June 30, 2001.
