  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to game and fish; permitting importation of 
  1.3             deer carcasses by prearrangement with state 
  1.4             taxidermists or meat processors; amending Minnesota 
  1.5             Statutes 2003 Supplement, section 97A.505, subdivision 
  1.6             8. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2003 Supplement, section 
  1.9   97A.505, subdivision 8, is amended to read: 
  1.10     Subd. 8.  [IMPORTATION OF HUNTER-HARVESTED CERVIDAE.] 
  1.11  Importation into Minnesota of hunter-harvested cervidae 
  1.12  carcasses is prohibited except for: 
  1.13     (1) cut and wrapped meat, quarters or other portions of 
  1.14  meat with no part of the spinal column or head attached, 
  1.15  antlers, hides, teeth, finished taxidermy mounts, and antlers 
  1.16  attached to skull caps that are cleaned of all brain tissue; or 
  1.17     (2) a carcass that is verifiably destined, by 
  1.18  prearrangement, to a taxidermist or meat processor within the 
  1.19  state.
